We Started Because Someone Had To

Back in 2022, a small team in Thurgoona noticed something odd. Businesses were making decisions based on guesswork—or worse, on spreadsheets that hadn't been updated since 2018. Financial planning felt like throwing darts in the dark. So we built something different.

How This Actually Started

Three of us were sitting in a cramped office, watching another business struggle with a loan decision. They had numbers everywhere but no clear picture. That's when it clicked—people don't need more data. They need to see what happens when they change things.

We built the first version over six months. It was rough. But it worked. Business owners could finally ask "what if" questions and get answers that made sense. Not perfect predictions, just clearer options.

By early 2024, we'd refined the approach based on feedback from dozens of Australian businesses. What surprised us most wasn't the complexity people wanted—it was the simplicity. They wanted to understand their choices without needing an economics degree.

What We Actually Do

It's not rocket science. We help you model different financial scenarios so you can make decisions with your eyes open. Here's the breakdown.

Scenario Building

You give us your numbers and your questions. We build models that show what could happen under different conditions. Growth, downturn, expansion—whatever keeps you up at night.

Plain Language Reports

We skip the jargon. You get reports that explain options in straightforward terms. No MBA required to understand what you're looking at or why it matters.

Ongoing Support

Things change. Markets shift, opportunities pop up, problems emerge. We're available to update models and answer questions as your situation evolves throughout the year.

Who's Behind This

Small team. Big focus on getting the details right. We're not trying to revolutionize finance—just make it more useful for people running actual businesses.

Lead Financial Analyst

Russell spent twelve years at a regional bank before joining us in 2023. He got tired of telling clients "that's just how it is" when they asked about loan options. Now he builds models that show them what's possible instead of what's typical.

He's particularly good at translating messy business situations into clean scenarios. Outside work, he's usually fixing up his 1987 Land Cruiser or complaining about cricket umpiring decisions.
